Meet the Officers

James G. Rissler


James is Chief Executive Officer of the Program. Mr. Rissler served as the Program’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 1999 through 2014. Prior to joining the Program he spent seventeen years in the banking industry most recently serving as a vice president with PNC Bank, N.A. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Rissler is a Trustee on the board of the Presbyterian Homes & Services Foundation, Inc., and was past Chair of the Board of Presbyterian Homes & Services of Kentucky, Inc. He is a Ruling Elder and a former Trustee of Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Michael K. Kirk (Secretary) serves as General Counsel for Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), A Corporation. He received his B.A. degree from Colgate University, a J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University School of Law. From 1985-1987 he was an Assistant District Attorney for Ulster County, New York. From 1987 until joining the Legal Services Office of the Church Corporation in March 2009, he was a partner with the firm of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP. He is a Ruling Elder and Clerk of Session at Highland Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY.

Clare Lewis (Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing) Clare has twenty-five years of experience developing marketing and sales programs in the not-for-profit industry. Most recently, Ms. Lewis served as publisher of Congregational Ministries Publishing – a ministry area of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. She holds a degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Ms. Lewis is a ruling elder, and worships at Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a former youth pastor at First United Church, Kelowna, British Columbia.

Laura Olliges (Treasurer) is Vice President of Finance and provides accounting and internal control services for PILP. She has worked for PC (USA) since 1992, in World Mission, Finance and Accounting, and Internal Audit offices. Her work with ILP started in February 2011. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has an MBA from the University of Louisville. She also has a B.A. (Spanish major) from Earlham College. She serves as Treasurer of the Board of Cedar Ridge Camp, a Presbyterian camp and conference center. She attends Highland Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY.

Jason Peterson (Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President of Lending and Administration) Jason has served with the Program since 2010. Prior to being appointed Chief Operating Officer, Jason served as Director of Loan Operations. Mr. Peterson has over twenty-four years of management experience in financial services industry, including extensive experience in retail banking, commercial banking, construction lending for nonprofit and for-profit banks. He holds a degree in finance from Tuskegee University.
